Dear Colleagues,

After having enjoyed the formidable Meeting of the Deutsche Physiologische Gesellschaft in Dresden it is already time to take a glance at our next congress. In 2013, the yearly meeting of our society will take place in Heidelberg. It is my pleasure to cordially invite all of you to this event on behalf of my colleagues from the Institute of Physiology and Pathophysiology!

The scientific programme will cover the broad range of physiological research, providing overviews of hot topics as well as symposia about the most recent developments. Following our good tradition, we will put special emphasis on the integration of students and young researchers. Interaction between experienced and young colleagues will be fostered in multiple oral presentations as well as in poster sessions which will be held on all days. Additionally, we are planning a meeting of the newly founded “Junge Physiologen” during the conference.

Venue of the 92nd Annual Meeting will be the Neuenheimer Feld, a modern campus which hosts the natural scientific and medical institutions of Heidelberg University. The location is well connected to the main station and to the “Altstadt”.

Heidelberg hosts Germany`s oldest university with a unique combination of preserved traditions and successful modern academic life. Besides that, Heidelberg is a beautiful city with its romantic Old Town and its picturesque location at the entry of Neckar River Valley.

For more information about the 92nd Annual Meeting including early registration and abstract submission, please visit this website in the few coming weeks.

Hoping to see you again in Heidelberg in March 2013,

Andreas Draguhn

President of the 92nd Annual Meeting of the Deutsche Physiologische Gesellschaft
